Croaghan Way (Blue)
This quality accredited 3 mile walk, is the shorter of the two Croaghan Way walks that start and finish at Altarichard car park on the Altarichard Road; it is also known as the Milibern Walk. The Trail is located within the Antrim Coast and Glens Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. To follow this way marked trail, leave the car park and make a left turn. After a short distance you will see red and blue way marks on your right. Follow the blue arrows for the Milibern Trail. These will lead you uphill to the summit of Croaghan from which there are spectacular views. At the summit, the Milibern Trail veers to the right, leading downhill into Breen Forest. After a short distance the Trail meanders through another section of upland heath before dropping into Altarichard Forest. On leaving the Forest make a right turn along Altarichard Road back to the car park.

As this trail lies within a designated Area of Special Scientific Interest (ASSI) it is vital that both farm animals and wildlife is respected. Due to this unique area, the landowners do NOT allow dogs on the trail. As this trail is by agreement with the landowners, we would ask that you respect their wishes regarding dogs, thank you.
